New QFX5120‑48YM‑AFI Overview
The Juniper QFX5120-48YM-AFI is a high-performance fixed 1U Ethernet switch in Juniper’s QFX5120 family, designed for use as a leaf, access, or distribution switch in data centers and enterprise networks.
It supports tri-speed SFP/SFP+ / SFP28 connectivity (1 GbE, 10 GbE, 25 GbE) on the downlink ports, and 40 / 100 GbE on uplink ports.
One of its standout features is MACsec (AES-256) support across all ports, providing encryption at the link layer for secure connections.
The switch runs Juniper’s Junos OS, supporting full Layer 2 and Layer 3 capabilities such as EVPN-VXLAN, MC-LAG, MPLS, and other advanced data-center and campus features.
It also supports both front-to-back and back-to-front airflow configurations, making it suitable for various cooling environments.
