Overview
The MS-MPC-128G is a Multi services Modular Port Concentrator (MPC) designed for the Juniper MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers, including models such as MX2020, MX2010, MX960, MX480, and MX240. It is a full-slot module equipped with 128 GB of memory (32 GB per NPU), and contains four network processing units (NPUs) to deliver high-performance service-specific packet processing.
This module provides hardware acceleration for demanding services like stateful firewall, Network Address Translation (NAT), IPsec encryption, anomaly detection, flow monitoring and accounting, and tunnel services. It enables service providers and enterprises to consolidate multiple functions into a single module, reducing complexity, conserving slots, and lowering total cost of ownership.
