  • On MX2000 routers with SFB, it achieves up to 400 Gbps, and up to 430 Gbps on MX2000 routers with SFB2.

  • Equipped with Junos Trio chipsets, enhancing scaling for bandwidth, subscribers, and services.
  • Supports maximum transmission units (MTUs) ranging from 256 bytes through 16,000 bytes for transit traffic and 256 bytes through 9,500 bytes for host-bound packets.
  • Environmental Considerations:
  • Operates at an ambient temperature of up to 40°C and at any altitude on MX960 routers.
  • At sea level, all MPC slots can host the MPC7E-MRATE line card at temperatures of up to 55°C. However, at an ambient temperature above 55°C, slot 11 cannot accommodate the MPC7E-MRATE line card.
  • Software Features:
  • Supports rate selectability at the port level.
  • By default, the ports are configured as 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports.
